Search the Klarinet Archives on "Don Gross" and you'll find the complete
listing of my postings since I first joined the list in 1994. The short
summary is that: (1) I have been playing clarinet (with one 31-year break) since
1949, (2) I have a doctorate in electroanalytical chemistry, (3) over the
past 25 years, I have played clarinets ranging from Eb sopranino to Bb
contrabass with myriad amateur and semiprofessional orchestras and wind bands in the
greater Los Angeles/Orange County area of Southern California, and (4) just
this summer had the joy of playing contrabass clarinet with the Los Angeles
Clarinet Choir at ClarinetFest 2010 in Austin. Over the years I have also
learned to keep quiet when I can't improve the silence. Hope that helps.
