facing - but mouthpieces aren't cheap, and the brushing isn't needed.

This ain't necessarily so. Some people deposit more calcium on their
mouthpieces than others.

I happen to be one of these people. Calcium and I don't get along - I had
kidney stones at 23 - and have white gunk show up even though I assiduously
wipe and clean.

Fortunately, dipping it for a few minutes in a shot glass of vinegar cleans
it up nicely.
