I am using the signature reeds for practice, rehearsal, jazz performances when doubling. The sound is good, and staccatos are actually better than cane reeds, and the playing is consistent, so I spend less time at each practice just getting the feel of the reed.

However, I do not use them for classical (chamber and solo) performances. I find the sound of cane reeds a little warmer, and for me, my cane reeds respond better in the upper register.

I use a Grabner mouthpiece. 3.75 Legere signature, and 3.75 Van Doren Rue Lepic.
