I hadn't thought of this. What sort of swab do you use? I used to
have a chamois swab (don't know if it was synthetic) and rejected that
on the basis of poor absorbency, at which point I made a muslin swab.
Would a cotton swab not distribute the water as well? I do get a lot
of condensation... I had a swab of "polished" muslin, which was sort
of intermediate absorbency between the softer muslin and the chamois
swab. Use a less absorbent swab initially to distribute the
condensation, then as it gets bad get the absorbent swab. Probably
splitting hairs here; this seems unduly complicated.
