Yes and the effect of water in the bore. On some days I am plagued by copius
water production which has a disastrous effect on all aspects of sound
production. There is a limit to how often you can swab....

Yes, it is much more complicated and also depends on frequency. That's why
in my own calculations I chose toneholes rather than the total length.
