Mark, I was just attepmting a little humor. My problem was that the bulk of
the psych faculty would bore water. There were two classes that were
interesting and relevant: Abnormal psych, which was fun to watch my
classmates decide they had every illness as it came along, and advanced
instructional psychology, which dealt, in large part, with high school
students who were having serious family problems and bringing their problems
and attitudes to school with them. I used what I learned in that class on
several occasions.

The rest, were either boring beyond belief or, in one case, I simply
disagreed with the instructor, in principal. (One class I remember had the
prof lecturing for the full period in a monotone. Literally.
Prop-your-eye-open-with-a-toothpick monotone. One note for everything he
said IN CLASS. Not when he was not in lecture mode. Not in office meetings.
Just in lecture. Well, read mode, really. He read his lectures, which were
the same every year. The ONLY word he changed the value on was Tennessee,
and he pronounced it wrong. Instead of TenneSSEE, he said TENNassee.

Of course, you're way ahead of me. I'm not smart enough to be an engineer.
(Maybe a train engineer, but not your kind. <g>) People have suggested I go
back to community college and take anything, to help exercise my brain. I'm
67, and there are times when I think my brain is going!
