It would be interesting to hear your take on the article.

The best conclusion I have come up with regarding the figure on the
second page is that is generally describes the variation in width of
the twelfths over the range of the clarinet. I can't see any
indication that it refers specifically to the effect of speaker hole
position or upper/lower bore diameter.

Diego's point about the node being displaced 8 cm from the reed is
interesting too.

These points fit with Tony's assessment that the article makes sense,
though it is simplified.
