Hello all - a question for our left coast listers - what can you tell me about David Atkins. I'm listening to him on a recording with Peter Christ playing the Randall Thompson "Suite" for oboe, clarinet and viola. What fine playing. Good sound, excellent intonation, and a sensitive ensemble musician.

A cursory web search turns up a lot of Westwood Wind Quintet recordings, but no biographical information of any kind. With whom did he study? Where else does (did?) he play? Curious to learn about this player and find out why I haven't heard more about him over the years.

TIA

David
