Come up with the money and Steve Fox will make an A bass for you, one that
goes down to low C if you wish.

It shows little adventuresome spirit to address the musical issues on the
basis of cost and quantity currently in use. I would not have expected such
a narrow and parochial view from you Gary. You might have said the same
thing about a basset clarinet in A.
