There is a major new clarinet competition taking place in Kortrijk,
Belgium from October 30 to November 6, 2010, and I will be a member of
the jury! As part of the same event, the first European Clarinet
Festival takes place from November 4 to 7, 2010.

The jury and prizes being offered are the largest of any clarinet
competition in the world that I am aware, and the jury is truly
international including such clarinet legends as Karl Leister, Stanley
Drucker and Koichi Hamanaka.
