Actually, yes. Such "stuff" brings continuity to the culture, which
is a very GOOD thing and should be actively supported. Frankly,
young children don't know the difference. EVERYTHING is new to
them. Older children get more than enough exposure to pop drivel
every day. They NEED to hear and perform the sort of music that has
stood the test of time. Otherwise they might get the woefully
mistaken impression that what they have been hearing on their radios,
iPods, etc. is MUSIC.
