I'd be fascinated to hear your thoughts and experience on this. You
probably know Gilberto Gil is quite highly regarded among the Creative
Commons and Free Software movements for his engagement with those
communities and their efforts to create a more collaborative and sharing
culture of creativity -- you can find some references to this extent in
Laurence Lessig's books 'Free Culture' and 'Remix' (both of which are
available for download free of cost, quite legally, on the internet).
