Nearly. You would redeem yourself by shooting anyone with the temerity to
conduct this work.

Hey, for better or worse, I'm here and a life long Mozart fanatic as a
direct result of a really horrible version of the Mozart (third
movement) for Bb Clarinet and Concert Band during my sophomore year of
high school. I wasn't even playing the solo part but, rather, the 1st
clarinet part. So, my name is Adam and I became a Mozart addict by first
playing the 1st Violin Part to the Mozart Clarinet Concerto on Bb
Clarinet. (Which lead to me happening on a recording by Robert Marcellus
in the cutout bin at the local mall CD store which then indirectly lead
to being privileged enough to study with a student of Daniel Bonade and
Vincent Abato which lead me to become close friends with Mr. Abato).

Come to think of it, I recall later playing Eine Kleine Nachtmusic at a
San Jose State Clarinet Choir performance while in high school as well.
Complete with those funky F Alto Clarinets (tongue firmly in cheek,
although that was what the players called them and what did I know of
the difference at the time?). Of course, we all know Mozart would have
written his Nachtmusic for clarinet choir if only he had the clarinets
of the modern day. Really. Honestly. And a I have bridge to sell you,
too. Ahem.

Forgive me father, for I have sinned...

:)

PS: But I hope to redeem myself by one day conducting the Gran
Part(t)ita and absolutely refusing to substitute either a contrabassoon
or a baritone saxophone in place of the string bass even if Mozart's
ghost rises from the unmarked grave and tells me he would do the same.
Promise!
