The website of Herbert Blayman (principal clarinet, Met opera, until about =
1980) seems to claim that Blayman played the clarinet on the soundtrack.
http://www.blaymanmusic.com/about.html.
But I didn't see any other reference on the web to his having performed it.
There are many versions of the sheet music available online, some automatic=
ally transposable to other keys, and a nice performance on YouTube by clari=
net and accordian. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DI451dI8tppg.
I really enjoy this piece for clarinet too.
