Clarinetists Stanley and Naomi Drucker in Concert on May 27 at Wright =
State University in Dayton, Ohio
Clarinetists Stanley and Naomi Drucker will be in concert on Thursday, =
May 27 =96 8 PM at Schuster Hall in the Creative Arts Center on the campus =
of Wright State University, 3640 Colonel Glenn Hwy. in Dayton, Ohio. The =
performance will be part of the University=92s Second Annual Music and =
Medicine Symposium.
The Druckers will present a program of solo and duo works for clarinet, =
including compositions by classical and contemporary masters. They will =
also be part of an Aging and Performance Injury for Musicians seminar on =
May 26.

At the conclusion of the 2008-2009 season, New York Philharmonic =
Principal Clarinet Stanley Drucker celebrated 60 years as a member of =
the Orchestra and announced his retirement. In honor of his 50th =
anniversary, and in recognition of his highly respected and widely =
acknowledged musical excellence and dedication, he was named Musical =
America's 1998 Instrumentalist of the Year. He has made approximately =
190 solo appearances with the Philharmonic since joining it at age 19. =
The Philharmonic estimates that he has performed in 10,200 concerts, =
which is approximately 70% of the total number of their concerts since =
1842. He has been Principal Clarinetist for a record 48 years, playing =
under 9 Music Directors, among them Bruno Walter, Dmitri Mitropolous, =
Leonard Bernstein, Pierre Boulez and Zubin Mehta. He has performed in 60 =

Naomi Drucker, co-director of the American Chamber Ensemble, has =
performed, recorded and toured with the New York Philharmonic. She has =
performed in Japan, Great Britain, Russia, Sweden, France, Canada and =
Argentina, and has appeared as soloist with the Nassau Symphony =
Orchestra, New York Virtuosi, Philharmonia Virtuosi, Massapequa =
Symphony, Long Island Baroque Ensemble, Long Island Symphony and West =
Islip Orchestra. With her husband Stanley Drucker she has performed on a =
tour of eleven cities in Japan, at the East Meets West Music Festival in =
Sweden, in 1996 at the International Clarinet Congress in Paris, in =
Singapore, at the Music Conservatorium in Sydney, Australia and at the =
