I have a Ridenour Eb bass, and a colleague has the low C.
Intonation on the Eb is like a rock though all the registers. Humidity and temperature don't affect it. On the low C horn, the low D and C are quite sharp, but can be lipped down.

We both had a couple of springs break pretty fast.
He also customizes the key layouts if you wish. For example, I find the right pinky low D very useful, but it is absent on my friend's horn.
Also, the articulated D#/Eb left hand on mine was about 3 inches long and got in the way.
I believe that those sort of key layout issues can be discussed with Tom.

Hey...what do you think of the Ridenour low C bass as an alternative to an
expensive Buffet or Selmer Pro horn?
