A colleague has one of Mr. Ridenour's Bb clarinets, and its intonation
is almost scary! With little to no embouchure adjustment or other
performer tricks, a Roland tuner "beeps" indicating perfect pitch in
just about every note from the lowest E to the third register F! No
idea re the bass horn, but if his mouthpieces (I have and play two of
them) and the colleagues 'net are any indication of the quality -- I'd
surely give it a try. A few years back, if you went to Mr. Ridenour's
web site he had a contact information to converse with him. Best wishes!
