Is this fellow listed in the Groves Dictionary of Jazz? If he's
Italian, is he in DEUMM (their analog to Groves). I'm from the old-
fashioned, "use the encyclopedias" school. Much of what is in them
will never make onto the net. If you can't get to a research library
with them, try calling one of the music conservatories. Those
librarians LOVE to do this kind of search - lets them use their
expensive toys. ;-) Seriously, very few musicians of any standing
aren't listed somewhere. Have you tried Ricordi? Someone had to
publish the piece.
Any additional suggestions, Dan Leeson?

It is a blues on An American in Paris for clarinet and jazz band and is
apparently by the late Italian jazz clarinetist Hengel (or Henghel)
Gualdi. Does anyone know anything about this? Internet searches have
not turned up anything.
