This was a big controversy at the time The Benny Goodman Story first came out on LP (remember vinyl? It was long before CDs!). Check the keys - they are also backwards! The picture was reversed, probably looked better with the guy on the left. An example of life before Photoshop when you could just flip the negative (that's another name for film - a method of photography before digital)! Too bad who ordered the switch didn't know about clarinets. Or maybe that's a reverse Polish clarinet (math joke).

I saw a DVD cover for the Goodman Story that showed Steve Allen holding a
clarinet with his hands reversed. Does anyone have a picture of that to
