Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I went to the UW library today
to look at a couple editions that came highly recommended. Here's
what I found: The older Breitkopf and Hartel edition is sparsely
marked (yay), but identical to the Belwin Mills edition that is
probably cheaper. Clint Neiwig told me about a B&H edition that is
edited and may be different, but I haven't seen it. He mentioned
that this edition is billed as "Urtext," though based on my recent
research leads me to believe that this is not true, because for
various reasons an Urtext is not possible. (Short version of a LONG
story is that the autograph, first edition, and Baermann's parts, as
well of those of other early sources, differ significantly, making
diagnoses of Weber's intentions impossible).

I also saw the Schott edition while in the library, and found it to
be also sparsely marked, with a better intro/research/footnoting than
the B&H, and including a score. I think it is superior, so I will be
getting this one to make my version for performance (and possibly
recording) this summer.
