For thirteen and a half years I have had at least one and as many as six
omputers running in my house servicing the website and the mailing lists, 24x7,
ome rain or come shine.
The basement just went dark. The faint hum that has permeated the Charette
ousehold all these years is gone.
But nothing has really changed. I never dreamed when I was young that there
ould be a time when there was no "place", that we all could just "be".
And this evening proved it. A bit scary for me, but nary a change for you.
And that is good.
