Have you explored the possibility that it is a piano work that was re-
orchestrated? He was mainly a pianist, and wrote many showoff pieces.

We have most of the original parts but no cover (which may or may not
have given the source). There are quite a few Pleyel string quartets
online but I have not been able to find this Rondo in any that I have
looked at or listened to. It is in the key of C (may be transposed) 2/4
time, Allegro and begins with an eighth note pick up followed by a
measure of eighth 2 sixteenths eighth 2 sixteenths all on the G just
above the staff.

Any information is appreciated.
