Oh, rim shot. LOL

I was in a car that had the cruise control stuck in 1992.

It was very scary. The day before we had the carburetor service.

The next day we left for Maine, put the cruise on when we hit I-70, 30 miles
from our house and the van took off, hitting 90 miles a hour. Thank
goodness at this time there was no traffic. Could not get it off, the
cruise control.

Finally, I turned the key off and got it over to the shoulder, as that
worked. Had no power steering or brakes, but I was able to move it over.

I restarted it and it was in 90 mph mode. So, no go. A police officer
radioed for a tow truck and said most people would crash in this situation
and probably die. Great.

We where towed back to the dealer and really did not get a apology. They
got the cruise unstuck and we where on our way by 1 pm, 6 hours behind
schedule.
