Admirers of Wenzel Fuch's playing should not needlessly leap to his defence,
but I would like to know the genealogy of this haunting arrangement for
clarinet, string quartet and double bass. Tantalisingly its vaulted acoustic
fades out after about two minutes. It does not seem to be a reworking of
