For any of you in or around Brisbane next Wednesday come along to the
Queensland Conservatorium for the CD launch of "Old Wine, New Bottles"
(Floyd Williams and Janus) recently released by Move Records.

The concert starts at 6.30pm in the Ian Hanger Recital Hall.

You'll hear some of the music from the CD and some new repertoire in a
similar vein. Performers will include Patricia Pollett(viola), Gregory
Massingham (voice), Mitchell Leigh (piano), Floyd Williams (clarinet, bass
clarinet), Pat Marchisella (double bass), John Stefulj (alto saxophone, bass
clarinet) and Brian Catchlove, (clarinet).

Music will include songs by Leonard Cohen, Josquin des Prez, and
instrumental music by Morton Gould (Benny's Gig); jazz composer John Laporta
(Essay for clarinet alone); jazz improvisations on A Nightingale Sang in
Berkeley Square (John Stefulj and Pat Marchisella) and other works by
William Thomas McKinley, Elway Bevin and Guillaume de Machaut.

It's an eclectic collection of music ranging from the Medieval and
Renaissance periods to the present, so there's bound to be something you'll
like.
