So am I. After my rant a month or so back I managed to come into the
ability to donate *some*thing to a valuable place that I am only too
happy to endow as I can. I simply dislike having PEGs (Public
Exhortations of Guilt) throw at me in a one-size-fits-all mode and I
will react accordingly if not my customary calm demeanor. The new logo
graces my blog. I am quite proud of it. People do what what they are able.

I did not know that Shadow had ascended at a great age, and in her
chariot of fire, to the next stage of her perpetual Felinity;
condolences are due to the Pet Human who cared for her; and I am happy
to see Shadow continues to transmit her thoughts at the same time that
Jane Feline was received into the household. Since I was around here
peacefully I lost my beloved cat Pushkin (9/06), and on August 4 the dog
who loved her also departed. Indeed he loved all of us without
favoritism. It was a terrible dual blow, and one does not simply "get
over it." I live on my own now in the Eastern edges of Penn's Woods with
my surviving cat Tolstoy, who likes to reread Anna Katinina in his spare
time, and to run about the house chasing something he alone can see. He
does not have an aversion to my hideous efforts to blow into the
Grenadilla Gremlin, but simply naps and naps and naps. You get the idea.
