If it needs to be checked for size, measure the outside of the bell joint,
across the top of the joint, with a standard ruler (in millimeters) if you
don't have a more sophisticated measuring device (calipers/micrometer).
Whoever has the rest of the clarinet, measure just the inside of the opening
the same way, or vice versa. The instrument joint should be a mm or so
smaller than the bell opening to fit. However, I expect playing with the
corking (replacing if too loose; sanding down a bit if too tight). Good luck!
