I have the OMCDRL part, too, which looks identical to the one on IMSLP
(Petrucci), where the score at least is clearly Breitkopf's (the title
page is included). That part has the same notes as the one I played from
last night. So I assume that whatever changes the editor's note refers
to were first made sometime in the late 19th century or the first half
of the 20th (either for the Brietkopf edition or before it).

Is there an urtext edition available of the Schumann symphonies?
