I am certainly no expert on crack repairs, but the repair to Ton's bell is =

type of repair that would be needed for Al's bell. His crack appears to be=

flaw in the wood itself, while yours appears (to me) to be from damage of s=

blow to the bell). If I had to choose how my cracked bell was repaired, an=

crack like Al's, I would have it pinned or banded. The simple reason is th=

very unlikely to re-open. Bells are expensive to replace. The cost of a g=
ood repair is a =0D
lot cheaper than replacing the bell.=0D
