Hi Richard,
I'm using a Nigun and a Ruby in the Mellow style. I love the new Pomaricos. I can reference these to Vandoren facings which might be helpful. The Nigun is like a 5RV and the Ruby is like a 5RV Lyre. I also have an Emerald which i too open for me. This feels slightly more open than B45. These are available at hornsales,com and they are selling these at the best price available.. I believe the old 2 facing was an open facing like the Emerald. If you use a 2-1/2 or 3 reed, I would try the Emerald in the Mellow style first.
