Wayne, I do not know if the Schirmer Edition is the one done by Coopersmith.
It would be easy enough to contact whoever is running Schirmer now and ask.
But I am confused. You say that you will do the Schirmer edition this year
and you call it the Mozart arrangement. I don't understand that. On one
hand you seem uncertain, and on the other you seem to be of the opinion that
the Schirmer is the Mozart arrangement.

When I played the Mozart arrangement of the Messiah it was in a Bärenreiter
edition. And I do not know what the Schirmer edition alleges itself to be.

But if I am near Tehachapi when you do the performance, we shall have dinner
together at the place with the great fudge!!

I understand that a version of Messiah apparently was partly reorchestrated
by Mozart. This version includes clarinets. This year our orchestra, the
Tehachapi Community Orchestra is again playing from this version, published
by Schirmer. Following are two favorable NYTimes reviews of Mozart/Messiah

Dan, or anyone, do I understand that this Schirmer Edition is the overdone
Coopersmith version? Does anyone else have comments or criticisms or this
version? I enjoy what we do very much; I'd like to hear more discussion.
