Are you sure it was Chester? I just tried to look at Bernstein works
on the Chester website, and they didn't show that they published any
of his works. I did find it on the Boosey & Hawkes website, though.

Chester was Poulenc's publisher, and they came out with a new 2006
edition of the Poulenc Sonata. Perhaps that was what you were
thinking about. I read somewhere that it was Stravinsky who helped
Poulenc get initially established with Chester (who was Stravinsky's
publisher in those days).
