I don't mind continuing the discussion if you or someone else wants to
talk about this topic.

It's just that Jonathan and I are tired of dealing with each other.
He's tired of my questioning his beliefs about Muhlfeld, and I'm tired
of playing his word games and having everything I write called
"ridiculous," "meaningless," or "flawed logic." I realize I don't
have all the answers on this topic--but I know what I wrote wasn't
nonsensical (wrong, maybe, but not illogical).

In fact, I was really hoping somebody more knowledgeable than I would
have something to add, either in support of or in opposition to my
hypothesis about Muhlfeld and Brahms, especially regarding whether the
story of Brahms directing the ensemble to use vibrato for the gypsy
section of the quintet is true. That's the first time I had ever
heard/seen that before.
