Here's one for the list:

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive (possibly freeware?) music
notation program? I have Finale, but
it is an older version which won't run on my Mac OSX. I'm really
p***ed off, but I don't use it enough to warrant paying hundreds of
dollars for the latest Finale upgrade, which has way too many
features I'll never use. Basically all I'm doing is lead sheets and
basic arrangements. Not even using MIDI!

So the multi-part question is: 1. can anyone recommend a simple mac-
compatible program?
2. It would be a plus if it could read my old Finale files. Can any
non-Finale programs read Finale files?

Thanx all.
