Baker's (remember that?) has a short article noting that Tessarini may
have been a pupil of Corelli, and was certainly a follower. He was
quite prolific and wrote a substantial treatise, which has been
translated into English. He's discussed in Newman, The Sonata in the
Baroque Era, and there's a biographical article in German.
I imagine Grove (remember that?) would also have an article.
Sometimes you need to go beyond Wikipedia, which however does have a
list of works and a reference to some online scores
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlo_Tessarini>.
