Hi, all -- sorry I'm dropping in without participating first, but my
mail program is too efficient at filing mailing lists away -- I forgot
this was here to look at. :)

In any case, I play in the Brewer (Maine) Hometown Band. I showed up
for rehearsal last week only to find that one of the pieces on our
next concert is Clair W. Johnson's "Autumn Caprice", for solo clarinet
and concert band. A couple of the lines don't seem to resolve as
nicely as they could -- are there misprints in the solo part? Or is
that just the style it's written in, and I have to learn to go with
it?

Thanks.

(In unrelated news, I finally got to use the conducting class I took
in college -- Beth and Jan let me conduct Irish Tune from County Derry
over the summer, and I get to do Sousa's "Northern Pines" at this next
concert -- the same one I have the solo in. Busy, busy... :) )
