That's true. Also keys can bind and stick due to the contraction of
the wood. I dehumidify my workshop in the summer and humidify like
crazy in the winter. I have been known to run three humidifiers in my
clarinet work are in the long Chicago winters where the indoor climate
becomes so dry.
