Are these calipers available commercially or something you've made for
yourself?

I had a teacher who had a reamer made to match one of his "extra" Cheds. He
then started reaming his students' mouthpieces with the thing. The result
when he did it to my Ann Arbor Kaspar (they were neither rare nor expensive
in those days) was a disaster. We both learned something that day, I think.
