I'm afraid my small coterie of chums attempt the trio/serenades with two
flutes, two clarinets and a bass. Dear me sacrilege, but we enjoy it in the

I have also taken this idea up after Tony suggested it, using my basset
clarinet in A, and it is a really excellent way to play them, and, as Tony
says, to learn from them.
