I just got a call from Clem Hutchinson's grandson.

Clem passed away, I believe yesterday, from natural causes.

He was 92.

Joe Hutchinson, his grandson can be reached for funeral details. His number is (408) 422 - 2535

"Hutch" taught clarinet at Eastman as a student under Rufus Arey, Marching Band at Oklahoma, clarinet at USC, and clarinet and conducting at SJSU. He also directed the Wind Ensemble and for a couple of years the Symphonic Band at SJSU. For a number of years he conducted the Santa Clara Valley Youth Band in San Jose. I will write some more of his history on another post.
