Dear List,

Does anyone know of an Urtext for the Cavallini Capricci?

I have one Carl Fischer edition, and one of my students has a
different one. Both appear to have many mistakes, and present them in
a different order. I also have A. Giampieri's edition (is he still
alive?) which is differnt yet again. The arictulations are
consistent, but often they match NOTHING of the other edition, and
seem wrong to me.

I'd love to get a look at the source material, like a first edition
or a manuscript. Does anyone know an authority on the subject I can
consult about this?
