>>I tried to find a study score for the Symphony No. 11 from the places I
usually look with no luck. Then I realized I didn't find any Shostakovich
music, at all. Anyone know the reason for this?
Jim Hobby

All of the orchestra works of Shostakovich are now back under copyright in the U.S. due to the GATT treaty of 1999. Study scores and some Full scores have been reprinted and any dealer like Gary Van Cott can buy them from Hal Leonard, the U.S. sales agent. The parts are on rental from Schirmer, Chester NY in the U.S.

This is also true for many works of Russian composers published after 1923.
