The IMSLP has the original instrumentation of the Opus 24. It calls
for:
Piccolo, Fl, clt in F (2), Clt in C (2), ob, Basset Horn, Bassoons
(2), Contra bassoon and Bass Horn.Horn in C (2), Horn in F (2) Alto,
Tenor and Bass Trombone,, Snare drum, triangle, Bass Drum and Cymbals.

Clearly, the F clarinets are soprano instruments.
