Larry Paikin sent us a link to a New York Times review of Stanley Drucker's
last concert with the New York Philharmonic:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/06/arts/music/06druc.html?_r=1&ref=arts

Dan Leeson wrote,
>The piece, written by Dan Waikin, who is on this list from time to time, is
>a whirlwind of Drucker information and accomplishments.

Larry's link goes to the review of the performance, by Vivien Schweitzer,
but in a box at the lower left-hand side of that article, there's a link to
Waikin's longer and better biography from the previous day, that Dan
mentioned:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/05/arts/music/05druc.html?ref=music

Not to be missed: Waikin's account of Drucker jumping in as a last-minute
substitute in the Shostakovich Violin Concerto no. 1 in May.
