ciao Sarah.

One of the most important Rossini expert in the world is Bruno Cagli. He is
the director of the Fondazione Rossini in Pesaro. He has a very rich
collection of Rossini's manuscript ( letters and music too ).

He is also my friend . I've discussed on this argument many times with him
and he gave me many reasons about that piece was for sure not wrote by
Rossini. I can't explane all this with my bad english but for example....
never Rossini mentioned on his letters about this piece....( he mentioned
about the " Variazioni in Do "...but never about the Introduzione Tema e
variazioni...)...

In any case the hand writing on this manuscript is NOT from Rossini for sure
!! Rossini hand writing is different.

Anyway. .it's a very nice piece...enjoy it !!!
