Hi Kurt,

I use size 4. But I have LOTS of Olivieri here too, even unopened
boxes of the untempered ones that I got back when I was in high
school in the early 1960's! For my whole nearly 50 years of playing
I thought that Olivieri was the bee's knees! But in the last month I
think I have suddenly changed my reed to the Rico Reserve. I just
ordered 20 boxes today based on my trial reeds. I have NEVER had
reeds play so well right out of the box, practically all of them (but
not ALL of them), Perhaps it is my mouthpiece that just happens to
be right for what Rico is doing with this reed, but I am thrilled
with them and may have quickly become a convert. Up until now "Rico"
was synonymous with "crappy" in my mind. Even only a few of the
Grand Concert reeds that I have worked well for me. Just goes to
show you that it is never to late to change.
