WOW!!

When I first studied with him, it was on sax, I was 16 and a senior in high school. I was let into his old San Jose tract home under Blossom Hill Road and sat in his studio listening to him practicing the Nielsen in the next room. It was incredible! He was 49 then!

>Thanks, Marla. I was thinking about him the other day. Kurt Heisig and I studied with him, and I think Dan Leeson has said he knew him. I called him a couple of years ago to reminisce; it was a great pleasure. Do any of the rest of you know him?

>For those who know him, Clem turned 92 on March 13. He and Ruth Ann (88yrs) still live in their own home. H'e pretty quiet, but lights up when you talk about clarinets or orchestras!
