The Orchestral Musician's CD-ROM Library."

These will be OK if you are looking for standard PD works as in most cases
the music is a reprint of the Kalmus reprint. The parts will contain the
mistakes that were added by the Original Publisher; Kalmus does an exact
reprint, they do not add or subtract errors if no editor's name is listed.

For better editions look in the Edwin F. Kalmus & Co., Inc. catalog to see
if a corrected or critical edition has now been published, especial for
French composers. Use corrected editions if you are auditioning for any
orchestra.

Baerenreiter, Breitkopf and Henle are also publishing corrected orchestra
parts which can be bought from any music dealer.
Many composers such as Bartok, Copland and former Soviet composers etc, etc.
whose works were published after Jan 1 1923 are under copyright in the U.S.,
so those orchestra parts are available to an organization on rental only.
Hope this helps the understanding of what is available for sale. Questions
are welcome.
