Hey all:

I'm trying to round out my sheet music library, and I'm trying to
figure out the best course of action so far as getting a good, wide
spectrum of orchestral clarinet excerpts to play to and learn from.
VCIS has piles of different options, many of them looking excellent,
including resources like the Orchestral Musician's CD-ROM Library.
There's the fact that many works are in the public domain now, and
therefore likely findable and copyable via some means out on the net-
I also have access to a ludicrously liberal ILL policy at the
university where I work. There're the International Music series of
volumes- I think I have four of those that I've picked up because
they've had bits I've wanted to work up. There are specialist volumes
for Bass Clarinet, for Eb Clarinet... different collections..

All in all, there are just too many options for me to make head or
tail of, and, for once, I don't want to fall prey to the clarinerd
tendency of trying to figure out a way to pay for them all. I'm
trying to cure myself of that particular affliction.

Can any folk weigh in with opinions as to what would be considered
good standard sets of parts to look to? Even if there are works I'll
never come near, I'd like to have a wide selection such that I can
educate myself well, and that would serve me well if I did.

Thanks much! Please don't get into a holy war! :)
