JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER CELEBRATES BENNY GOODMAN CENTENNIAL WITH CONCERTS
FOR ADULTS AND FAMILES

Who/What/When:
EVENING CONCERT: In celebration of Benny Goodman's 100th birthday (May
30, 1909), the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra revisits the bandleader
and clarinetist's historic 1938 Carnegie Hall concert. The big band will
be joined by a living history of jazz clarinetists including Buddy
DeFranco, Ken Peplowski, Bob Wilber and the JLCO's own Victor Goines on
hits such as "Sing, Sing, Sing" and "After You've Gone." The concerts
take place on May 28, 29 & 30, 2009 at 8 p.m.

FAMILY CONCERT: As part of the celebration, Victor Goines will host and
the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra will perform a special Jazz for
Young PeopleĀ® Concert entitled "Who Is Benny Goodman" at Rose Theater on
June 6 at 1 & 3 p.m. Recommended for ages 6 and up.

Rose Theater at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center,
Broadway at 60th Street, New York, New York.

Tickets:
Ticket prices for the Benny Goodman Centennial are $30, $50, $75, $95 or
$120.

Ticket prices for "Jazz for Young People: Who is Benny Goodman?" are
$12, $20 & $28.

All single tickets can be purchased through www.jalc.org or CenterCharge
at 212-721-6500, open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets can also be
purchased at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Box Office, located on Broadway
at 60th Street, ground floor. Box office hours: Monday-Saturday from 10
a.m to 6 p.m. (or 30 minutes past curtain) and Sunday from noon to 6
p.m. (or 30 minutes past curtain).
